¹⁶ And thou shalt take the silver of atonements from among the sons of Israel, and thou shalt give it for the service of the Tabernacle of the congregation^◦; and it shall be to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make·​·atonement upon your souls.

¹⁴ For it is the soul of all flesh; its blood, it^◦ is with the soul of the flesh^*; and I said to the sons of Israel, the blood of all flesh you shall not eat: for the soul of all flesh is its blood; all who eat it^◦ shall be cut·​·off.
