Verse 20. It curses the soul by averting from heaven to conjoin the doctrine of truth with the practice of evil, which is foul profanation (see Arcana Coelestia 6348); for thereby the hereditary evil which exists in the soul is called forth and conjoined to the life; and all the mind shall assent.
