²⁴ then you shall bring· the two of them ·out to the gate of that^◦ city, and you shall stone^◦ them with stones and they shall die: the damsel, on account of the word she cried not in the city; and the man^◦, on account of the word that he has afflicted the wife of his companion; and thou shalt sweep·​·away the evil from among you.

^{6 7} If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy companion, who is as thy soul, incite thee hiddenly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou^◦, nor thy fathers;
