何かを理解するときに「見える」と言うのはよくあることです。そして、聖書の中の「見る」というのは、確かに霊的なものを把握し、理解することを表しています。ですから、私たちを見ることができる目は、霊的なものを理解することができる知性を表しているのです。

もちろん、これは否定的な意味でも使われます。聖書は人々が目を持っていて見ることを拒否していることを語っており、主がこの世におられた時には、不快な目を摘み取るように助言されました。これは、真実を認めることを拒否したり、偽りに惑わされたりすることを表しています。

8792. 'Jehovah will come down before the eyes of all the people' means, the coming of the Lord will occur, and enlightenment at that time.
