That this signifies those who teach from faith, is evident from the signification of Joseph’s “brethren,” as being those in the church who are of faith (of whom above, n. 4665, 4671, 4679, 4690); and from the signification of “feeding the flock,” as being to teach (n. 343, 3767, 3768, 3772, 3783).
