28 Ed egli disse loro: Un uomo nemico ha ciò fatto. E i servitori gli dissero: Vuoi dunque che andiamo, e le cogliamo?

To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.

This is the first week of our “Mindful Communication Challenge” series. The first step to being a good communicator is to be a good listener. Jesus tells us the importance of listening with His parable of the Sower. He tells the tale of a sower sowing seeds, but they get scattered on different types of ground. Three of the types aren't any good, and yield no crops, but the good ground yields 30, 60, 100 times what was originally sown.

I don't know about you, but I'd never thought of listening as being able to reap such huge rewards. However, I came across a story that is known as “The Boston Miracle”; where violent crime was cut down by 79% over a 10 year period. How did they do this? It started with listening to the gangs, drug dealers and other young men who were perpetrating these crimes. Yes, listening yielded a huge bounty in that community. Believe it or not!
