Genesi 25:11

11 Ora, dopo che Abrahamo fu morto, Iddio benedisse Isacco, suo figliuolo; e Isacco abitò presso del Pozzo del Vivente che mi vede.

To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.

Hunt

'To hunt' signifies the good of life derived from natural truths. 'To hunt' signifies in general 'persuading,' and in particular, to captivate and ensnare people's minds by flattering them in the pursuit of the things of the senses, such as sensory pleasures and lust.

'Hunting,' as mentioned in Genesis 25:27, signifies truths pertaining to the natural man from which are derived goods. 'Hunting,' in an extended sense, denotes what is targeted by hunters, such as rams, kids, goats, etc., which all denote spiritual good. Because the weapons used in hunting, which were quivers, bows, and darts, denote doctrinal things of truth, 'to hunt' denotes teaching from the affection of what is true in a good sense.
