To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.

In Exodus 28:30, this signifies the shining forth of the Lord's divine truth in outermosts nature. (Arcana Coelestia 9905)
In Isaiah 24:15, this signifies the holy things of love. (Arcana Coelestia 2009[3]) Urim here also signifies light from the divine truth that proceeds from the Lord. (Arcana Coelestia 5922[11])
In Deuteronomy 33:8, this signifies divine truth shining forth from divine good; thus the Word. (Apocalypse Explained 444[9])
