8527. 'In order that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness' means the good of truth when they were in the state involving temptations. This is clear from the meaning of the manna, to which 'the bread' refers here, as the good of truth, dealt with in 8462, 8464; and from the meaning of 'the wilderness' as a state when temptations have to be undergone, dealt with in 8098.
