Verse 7. If any principle or faculty of the soul alienates spiritual truths by making them subservient to worldly ends; this principle must be destroyed as a thief of the real goods of the soul; and thus will evil be removed from the regenerate life.

5889. 'That you sold me here' means that they had alienated [it by banishing it] to the lowest parts. This is clear from the explanation above in 5886.
