Verse 8. Being also protected by the operation of spiritual good and truth internally, and natural good and truth externally, together with this good and truth embodied in action, so that the spiritual man is prepared to make progress.

556. Since man now had no remnants of good and truth it is foretold that he would be formed differently so that he would have remnants, meant by 'a hundred and twenty years', verse 3.
