1 ויהי דבר־יהוה אלי לאמר׃

2 בן־אדם שים פניך אל־הרי ישראל והנבא אליהם׃

3 ואמרת הרי ישראל שמעו דבר־אדני יהוה כה־אמר אדני יהוה להרים ולגבעות לאפיקים [כ= ולגאית] [ק= ולגאיות] הנני אני מביא עליכם חרב ואבדתי במותיכם׃

4 ונשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו חמניכם והפלתי חלליכם לפני גלוליכם׃

5 ונתתי את־פגרי בני ישראל לפני גלוליהם וזריתי את־עצמותיכם סביבות מזבחותיכם׃

6 בכל מושבותיכם הערים תחרבנה והבמות תישמנה למען יחרבו ויאשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו ונשבתו גלוליכם ונגדעו חמניכם ונמחו מעשיכם׃

7 ונפל חלל בתוככם וידעתם כי־אני יהוה׃

8 והותרתי בהיות לכם פליטי חרב בגוים בהזרותיכם בארצות׃

9 וזכרו פליטיכם אותי בגוים אשר נשבו־שם אשר נשברתי את־לבם הזונה אשר־סר מעלי ואת עיניהם הזנות אחרי גלוליהם ונקטו בפניהם אל־הרעות אשר עשו לכל תועבתיהם׃

10 וידעו כי־אני יהוה לא אל־חנם דברתי לעשות להם הרעה הזאת׃ ף

11 כה־אמר אדני יהוה הכה בכפך ורקע ברגלך ואמר־אח אל כל־תועבות רעות בית ישראל אשר בחרב ברעב ובדבר יפלו׃

12 הרחוק בדבר ימות והקרוב בחרב יפול והנשאר והנצור ברעב ימות וכליתי חמתי בם׃

13 וידעתם כי־אני יהוה בהיות חלליהם בתוך גלוליהם סביבות מזבחותיהם אל כל־גבעה רמה בכל ראשי ההרים ותחת כל־עץ רעןן ותחת כל־אלה עבתה מקום אשר נתנו־שם ריח ניחח לכל גלוליהם׃

14 ונטיתי את־ידי עליהם ונתתי את־הארץ שממה ומשמה ממדבר דבלתה בכל מושבותיהם וידעו כי־אני יהוה׃ ף

Scripture Confirmations of New Church Doctrine [Brief Latin Title: Dicta Probantia]

1. The Apostles; Miracles

The apostles are named (Acts of the Apostles 1:13, 26).

Judas the traitor burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out (Acts of the Apostles 1:16-19).

Many miracles and signs were done by the apostles (Acts of the Apostles 2:43). Peter and John healed the lame man sitting at the gate of the temple, therefore all were astonished, but when the priests heard them preaching about Jesus, they laid hands upon them, thrust them into prison, and afterwards having threatened them sent them away because of the people (Acts of the Apostles 3:1-20; 4). This miracle was done in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts of the Apostles 4:10, 30).

Many miracles done by the apostles (Acts of the Apostles 5:12, 5:15, 5:16), but yet they were put in prison by the high priest, and although they were led out thence by an angel miraculously, yet they were beaten, and warned not to preach concerning Jesus (verses 29-40).

Stephen also did great signs and miracles (Acts of the Apostles 6:8).

Miracles done by Philip (Acts of the Apostles 8:6, 7, 13).

Simon the sorcerer made himself great in Samaria, saying, here is the great power of God; but he was severely reproved by Peter (Acts of the Apostles 8:9, 10 seq., 20-24).

Miracles done by Peter, and also that he raised the dead to life (Acts of the Apostles 9:33, 34, 36-42).

The miracle of Paul, that a certain man was made blind (Acts of the Apostles 13:11); also others (Acts of the Apostles 19:11, 12; 20:9 seq.; 28:3 seq., 8).

Miracles done by the disciples, and with Paul (Acts of the Apostles 14:3, 8-10, 19, 20; 16:25, 26 seq.).

Psalms 98

Studie

   

1 Sing to Yahweh a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him.

2 Yahweh has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.

3 He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise to Yahweh, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!

5 Sing praises to Yahweh with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody.

6 With trumpets and sound of the ram's horn, make a joyful noise before the King, Yahweh.

7 Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.

8 Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together.

9 Let them sing before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
