¹² Und er hat seine Worte erfüllt, die er über uns und über unsere ichter geredet hat, welche uns richteten, indem er ein großes Unglück über uns brachte (O. daß er ein großes Unglück über uns bringen würde;) so daß unter dem ganzen Himmel keines geschehen ist wie dasjenige, welches an Jerusalem geschehen ist.

⁴ durch dein Blut, das du vergossen, hast du dich verschuldet, und durch deine Götzen, die du gemacht, hast du dich verunreinigt; und du hast deine Tage herbeigeführt und bist zu deinen Jahren gekommen. Darum habe ich dich den Nationen zum Hohne gemacht und allen Ländern zum Spott.

² You, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? then cause her to know all her abominations.

³ You shall say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: A city that sheds blood in the midst of her, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!

⁴ You have become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and are come even to your years: therefore have I made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.
