176. Internal Meaning of Daniel, Chapter 5
1-4 Babylon profaned all things of heaven and of the church. (3)
5-6 It was perceived from the Word, that it was profane, (3)
7-9 but it was not perceived by the primates who were in that religion. (3)
10-24 It was confirmed by those who were in the truths of the church, that it was contrary to the Word for them to have exalted themselves above the Lord, and that thus they profaned things holy. (3)
25-28 That religion was at an end because there was no longer good and truth of the church. (3, 12)
29-30 Thus everything of the church there, came to an end. (3)
31 Worship of the Lord was thought about, as in the church. (2)
