When we look at a potter forming a clay pot, we can see that the process might be uncomfortable for the clay. It's being spun, pushed and mashed, but the result is beautiful and useful pot. The Bible gives us a similar image that the Lord is the potter and we are clay, which can leave us in uncomfortable situations. However the Lord promises that if we are willing to stay on the potter's wheel that we can be transformed into something much better than what we are right now.
