15 Samuel dit à Saül: Pourquoi m'as-tu troublé, en me faisant monter? Saül répondit: Je suis dans une grande détresse: les Philistins me font la guerre, et Dieu s'est retiré de moi; il ne m'a répondu ni par les prophètes ni par des songes. Et je t'ai appelé pour que tu me fasses connaître ce que je dois faire.

In Genesis 25:29, 30, Esau's feeling faint signifies a state of combat or conflict within us as we fight temptations, and our whole minds are needing to be re-oriented away from self-love, and into a state that will receive the Lord's love and influx. (Arcana Coelestia 3318)

In Isaiah 40:28, not fainting signifies that there will be no failure of the Lord's power to reestablish the church. (Apocalypse Explained 294[8])

In Isaiah 51:20, this signifies the dispersal of truth by falsities. (Apocalypse Explained 724[19])

In Matthew 15:32; and Mark 8:3, this signifies lack of spiritual food, and so the failure of external good. (Apocalypse Revealed 381)

In Revelation 2:3, not tiring signifies exertion to study and procure, and also to teach, religion and its doctrines. (Apocalypse Revealed 81)
