¹ Kuulkaa Herran sana, te israelilaiset, sillä Herralla on oikeudenkäynti maan asukasten kanssa; sillä ei ole uskollisuutta, ei laupeutta eikä Jumalan tuntemusta maassa.

¹ Älä iloitse, Israel, älä riemuitse, niinkuin muut kansat, sillä sinä olet haureudessa luopunut Jumalastasi, olet rakastanut portonpalkkoja kaikilla viljan puimatanterilla.

¹⁵ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
