1 Ja Issand rääkis Moosesega, öeldes:

2 'Ütle Iisraeli lastele, et nad tooksid mulle tõstelõivu; igaühelt, kes annab heast südamest, võtke minu tõstelõivu.

3 Ja see on tõstelõiv, mida te peate neilt võtma: kulda, hõbedat ja vaske,

4 sinist, purpurpunast ja helepunast lõnga ning peent linast lõime, kitsekarvu,

5 punaseid jääranahku, merilehmanahku, akaatsiapuud,

6 valgustusõli, palsameid võideõliks ja healõhnalisi suitsutusrohte,

7 karneoolikive ja ilustuskive õlarüü ja rinnakilbi jaoks.

8 Ja nad tehku mulle pühamu, siis ma asun elama nende keskele.

9 Tehke täpselt eeskuju järgi, mida ma sulle näitan, elamu ja kõigi selle riistade mudeli järgi!

10 Laegas tehtagu akaatsiapuust, kaks ja pool küünart pikk, poolteist küünart lai ja poolteist küünart kõrge.

14 Pista kangid rõngastesse laeka külgedel, et nendega saaks laegast kanda!

15 Kangid jäägu laeka rõngastesse, neid ärgu sealt välja võetagu!

16 Pane laekasse tunnistus, mille ma sulle annan!

17 Tee puhtast kullast lepituskaas, kaks ja pool küünart pikk ja poolteist küünart lai!

18 Tee kullast kaks keerubit; tee need sepisena lepituskaane kumbagi otsa!

19 Pane üks keerub ühte otsa ja teine keerub teise otsa; pange keerubid lepituskaane kumbagi otsa!

20 Keerubid sirutagu oma tiivad ülespoole, et nad tiibadega kataksid lepituskaant, ja nende palged olgu vastamisi; keerubite palged olgu lepituskaane poole!

21 Aseta lepituskaas laekale peale ja pane laekasse tunnistus, mille ma sulle annan!

22 Seal ma siis ilmutan ennast sulle ja kõnelen sinuga lepituskaanel mõlema keerubi vahel, mis on tunnistuslaeka peal, kõigest, mida ma sind käsin Iisraeli lastele öelda.

23 Tee akaatsiapuust laud, kaks küünart pikk, küünar lai ja poolteist küünart kõrge!

24 Karda see puhta kullaga ja tee sellele kuldpärg ümber!

25 Tee sellele kämblalaiune põõn ümber ja tee kuldpärg ümber selle põõna!

26 Tee sellele neli kuldrõngast ja kinnita rõngad nelja nurga külge selle nelja jala juures!

27 Rõngad olgu otse põõna kõrval kangide asemeiks laua kandmisel.

28 Tee laua kandmiseks akaatsiapuust kangid ja karda need kullaga!

29 Tee sellele vaagnad ja kausid, kannud ja peekrid joogiohvri toomiseks; tee need puhtast kullast!

30 Ja pane alati ohvrileibu lauale mu palge ette!

31 Tee puhtast kullast lambijalg; see lambijalg olgu sepistatud töö aluse ja harudega; selle karikakesed, nupud ja õiekesed olgu sellega ühest tükist!

32 Selle küljest lähtugu kuus haru: ühest küljest kolm lambijala haru ja teisest küljest kolm lambijala haru!

33 Ühel harul olgu kolm mandliõiekujulist karikakest nupu ja õiekesega, samuti olgu teisel harul kolm mandliõiekujulist karikakest nupu ja õiekesega; nõnda olgu neil kuuel harul, mis lambijalast lähtuvad.

34 Aga lambijalal enesel olgu neli mandliõiekujulist karikakest nupu ja õiekesega:

35 iga harupaari all olgu üks nupp neil kuuel harul, mis lambijalast lähtuvad.

36 Nupud ja harud olgu sellega ühest tükist terviklik sepisetöö puhtast kullast.

37 Tee sellele seitse lampi; lambid seatagu üles nõnda, et need valgustaksid oma esist!

38 Tahikäärid ja tahikarbid olgu puhtast kullast!

39 See tehtagu ühest talendist puhtast kullast koos kõigi nende riistadega!

40 Ja vaata, et sa need teed nende eeskujude järgi, mis sulle mäel näidati!

Arcana Coelestia 9455. In this chapter is described the collection that was made for the tabernacle, for the tables therein, and also for the garments of Aaron; likewise the construction of the ark, of the table for the bread, and of the lampstand; by which were represented the heavens where the Lord is, and all the celestial and spiritual things which are from the Lord therein. By the Habitation was represented heaven itself; by the ark in it, the inmost heaven; by the Testimony or law in the ark, the Lord; by the breads of faces upon the table, and by the lampstand, the celestial things; and by the garments of Aaron the spiritual things, which are from the Lord in the heavens.

9455. Exodus 25

1. And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2. Speak to the children of Israel, and let them take for Me an offering; from everyone whose heart is willing, 1 you are to take My offering.

3. And this is the offering which you shall take from them: Gold and silver, and bronze,

4. And violet, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, and fine linen, and wool of she-goats,

5. And skins of red rams, 2 and skins of badgers, and pieces of shittim wood; 3

6. Oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil, and for the incense of spices;

7. Shoham 4 stones, and stones of fillings 5 for the ephod and for the breastplate.

8. And they are to make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst.

9. In accordance with all that I show you, the pattern of the dwelling-place and the pattern of all its vessels, just so you shall make it.

10. And they are to make an ark of shittim wood; two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

11. And you shall overlay it with pure gold, on the inside and on the outside you shall overlay it; and you shall make on it a rim of gold round about.

12. And you shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them on its four corners; and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.

13. And you shall make poles of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

14. And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark on them.

15. The poles must be in the rings of the ark; they must not be removed from it.

16. And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I shall give you.

17. And you shall make a mercy-seat from pure gold; two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.

18. And you shall make two cherubs; from solid gold you shall make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat.

19. And make one cherub at the end on one side, and one cherub at the end on the other side; of one piece with the mercy-seat you shall make the cherubs 6 on its two ends.

20. And the cherubs shall be spreading out their wings upwards, covering over the mercy-seat with their wings, and their faces of a man towards his brother; 7 the faces of the cherubs shall be towards the mercy-seat.

21. And you shall put the mercy-seat onto the ark, up above; and into the ark you shall put the Testimony which I shall give you.

22. And I will meet with you there, and I will speak to you from up above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubs which are over the ark of the Testimony, [declaring] everything that I shall command you for the children of Israel.

23. And you shall make a table of shittim wood; two cubits shall be its length, and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

24. And you shall overlay it with pure gold; and you shall make for it a rim of gold round about.

25. And you shall make for it a rail of a hand's breadth round about; and you shall make a rim of gold for its rail round about.

26. And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and you shall put the rings on the four corners which are on its four feet.

27. The rings shall be close to the rail, as houses for the poles to carry the table.

28. And you shall make the poles from shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with them.

29. And you shall make its dishes, and its cups, and its small dishes, and its small brushes, with which it shall be covered; from pure gold you shall make them.

30. And you shall put on the table the bread of faces, towards My faces unceasingly. 8

31. And you shall make a lampstand from pure gold; solid shall the lampstand be made. 9 Its shaft and its branch, its cups, its pomegranates, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. 10

32. And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it.

33. There shall be three almond-shaped cups on one branch, a pomegranate and a flower, and three almond-shaped cups on one branch, 11 a pomegranate and a flower - thus for the six branches going out of the lampstand.

34. And on [the shaft of] the lampstand there shall be four almond-shaped cups, its pomegranates and its flowers.

35. And there shall be a pomegranate under [the first] two branches out of it, and a pomegranate under [the second] two branches out of it, and a pomegranate under [the third] two branches out of it - for the six branches going out of the lampstand.

36. Their pomegranates and their branches shall be of one piece with it, 10 all [shall be part] of it, one solid [piece made] from pure gold.

37. And you shall make its seven lamps; and let it cause its lamps to go up and give light before its faces. 12

38. And its tongs and its trowels 13 [shall be made] from pure gold.

39. A talent of pure gold shall [be used to] make it, together with all these vessels.

40. And see to it that you make them in accordance with the pattern of them which you were given to see 14 on the mountain.

CONTENTS

This chapter describes the offerings for the tent, for the tables there, and also for Aaron's garments. It then goes on to give the directions for making the ark, the table for the loaves [of the Presence], and the lampstand, which were to represent the heavens, where the Lord is, and all the celestial and spiritual realities which are from the Lord there. The dwelling-place itself represented heaven, the ark there represented the inmost heaven, and the Testimony or the law within the ark represented the Lord; the loaves of the Presence on the table together with the lampstand represented the celestial realities from the Lord, and Aaron's garments represented the spiritual realities from Him, in the heavens.
