1196. 'Pathrusim and Casluhim' are nations so called who mean matters of doctrine that are formed into rituals from a similar origin and that exist solely as items of knowledge. This is evident from what has been stated, and from the fact that they follow in that sequence. Regarding the Pathrusim, see Isaiah 11:11-12; Ezekiel 29:13-15; 30:13-14; Jeremiah 44:1, 15.
