Wilderness

'Wilderness' signifies something with little life in it, as described in the internal sense in Luke 1:80 'Wilderness' signifies somewhere there is no good because there is no truth. 'Wilderness,' as in Jeremiah 23:10, signifies the Word when it is adulterated.

Christ's Resurrection

Napsal(a) New Christian Bible Study Staff, Julian Duckworth

Jesus was crucified. His dead body was wrapped in funeral cloths, placed in a sepulcher, and sealed up. And then... he was resurrected! When the disciples came to the tomb on Easter morning, the great stone had been rolled away. His body was gone. An angel, sitting there, told them "He is risen, as He said". The Roman guards were unconscious. What happened?

Jesus's physical body was miraculously converted to Divine substance; He had glorified his whole human life - everything taken on from Mary - and made it divine.

This process of "incarnation" - taking on a physical human body, and then "glorification" - making it one with His divine essence, was all part of the Lord's effort to reach us in a new, needed way. With a physical human body, God could actually live among us, teaching, and healing. With a human mind, he could be tempted -- actually come into combat with hellish spirits -- and win those battles, defeating hell's power, and clearing the way for people to be able to learn new truths and live by them. The last temptation, on the cross, was a victory over pain and doubt, and yet another step on the path to resurrection.
