Sheep and goats

'Sheep and goats,' as in Matthew 25:33-41, do not mean all the good and all the evil. In a more accurate sense, 'sheep' can be understood to mean people in the good of charity towards their neighbor, and so in faith, and 'goats,' people in faith separate from charity, and so, everyone on whom the judgment in the end time of the church was about to be executed. All people in the good of love to the Lord were received into heaven beforehand, and all people in no good of charity, and so in no faith, were cast into hell beforehand. To the sheep it is said, 'inherit the kingdom prepared for you,' from the foundation of the world, but it is not said that the fate of the goat was prepared from the foundation of the world, because the evil prepare hell for themselves, and the Lord prepares heaven for the good.
