Arcana Coelestia # 9889
9889. And thou shalt make two rings of gold. That this signifies the sphere of the Divine good, is evident from the signification of “the rings,” as being the sphere of Divine good through which there is conjunction (see n. 9882); and from the signification of “gold,” as being the good of love (n. 9881).
Arcana Coelestia # 9882
9882. And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold. That this signifies the sphere of Divine good from the higher part of heaven through which there is conjunction, is evident from the signification of “the breastplate,” as being a representative of heaven (see n. 9879); and from the signification of “the two rings of gold,” as being the sphere of Divine good through which there is conjunction (n. 9498, 9501). That this is from the higher part of heaven, is signified by the rings being at the upper part of the breastplate, for the chains were led from this part to the settings of gold on the shoulderpieces of the ephod.
