And Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, Every son that is born, ye shall cast him forth into the river, and every daughter ye shall keep alive. “And Pharaoh commanded all his people,” signifies general influx into the memory-knowledges opposed to the truths of the church; “saying, Every son that is born, ye shall cast him forth into the river,” signifies that they should immerse in falsities all truths which appear; “and every daughter ye shall keep alive,” signifies that they should not assault good.
