Wipe away all tears from their eyes

'To wipe away all tears from their eyes,' as in Revelation 7:17, signifies that the people shall no longer be in combats against their evils and falsities, and so, not in sorrows, but in goods and truths, and so, in celestial joy from the Lord. 'God will wipe away all tears from their eyes,' as in Revelation 21:4, signifies that the Lord will take away all grief or unease of mind, because tears come from unease of mind.
