That this signifies that there was no other Divine in the Ancient Churches, is evident from the signification of “father,” as being the Ancient Church (see n. 6050, 6075, 7649, 8055), consequently “father’s God” denotes the Divine in the Ancient Churches (that the Divine in those churches was the Lord, see n. 6846, 6876, 6884; and that by “Jehovah” they understood no other than the Lord, n. 1343, 5663).
