⁷ Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before Jehovah; and his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chiefest of the herdsmen that belonged to Saul.

Hot

When contrasted to being cold, as in Revelation 3:15, being 'Hot' signifies being in a state of spiritual love.

In other places, e.g. where someone's temper is "hot", it can mean evil that's stemming from false doctrine, as in Deuteronomy 19:6.
