8 It was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel."

Verse 8. On the other hand, the man of the true spiritual church, who is guided by the Word, perceives that the corrupted church has lost the truth, and yet that he who approaches the Lord through the Word will be taught the truth, because the Word is truth itself in the spiritual church.
