25 It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.

Verse 25. For man's power of receiving the knowledges of good and truth is based upon his natural affections of every quality—namely, of truth and good in obscurity and of truth and good in clearness; affections not conducive to his purification being quiescent, while affections truly natural are freely and fully manifested.
