24 Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, who hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me a house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

Verse 24. Hence therefore,—since all life is from the Lord, who alone is life, in the celestial church, which, according to order succeeds the spiritual church, and is established in celestial good,—self-love must needs be removed to eternity.
