พระเยซูจึงตรัสห้ามมันว่า "จงนิ่งเสีย ออกมาจากเขาซิ" เมื่อผีนั้นได้ทำให้เขาล้มลงท่ามกลางประชาชนแล้ว ก็ออกมาจากเขา แต่มิได้ทำอันตรายเขาเลย
