17 "เหตุไฉนท่านจึงมิได้รับประทานเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปในที่บริสุทธิ์ ในเมื่อเป็นของบริสุทธิ์ที่สุด และพระเจ้าได้ประทานของเหล่านั้นให้แก่ท่านเพื่อท่านจะได้รับความชั่วช้าของชุมนุมชน เพื่อทำการลบมลทินบาปของเขาทั้งหลายต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์

Verse 17. That the good of worship on account of deliverance from evil is to be appropriated in a holy state thence resulting, because this good is most holy; and through celestial truth and good the Lord fights for man against evil, that man may be reconciled with Him, or in other words, that the external man may be brought into harmony with the internal by genuine repentance.
