1 At pinisan ni Ben-adad na hari sa Siria ang buong hukbo niya: at may tatlong pu't dalawang hari na kasama siya, at mga kabayo, at mga karo: at siya'y umahon at kinubkob ang Samaria, at nilabanan yaon.

Verse 1. The natural man under the influence of the perverted love of knowledge, concentrates his acquired knowledges of worldly things, which are in all completeness and in conjunction with evil affections, both as to intellectual and doctrinal powers, against the spiritual man, or against the corrupted spiritual church, and this too, as to the will and as to the understanding.
