Verse 1. When the spiritual man passes out from interior reflection to combat with evils and falsities, and perceives the numerous arguments and doctrinals ranged in favour of evil, and that falsities seem to be more abundant and powerful than truths, he should not be afraid of them; for the Divine Love and Wisdom are with Him, which brought the soul out of its unregenerate condition.
