ὅτι οὐχὶ λόγος κενὸς οὗτος ὑμῖν ὅτι αὕτη ἡ ζωὴ ὑμῶν καὶ ἕνεκεν τοῦ λόγου τούτου μακροημερεύσετε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς διαβαίνετε τὸν ιορδάνην ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν

Verse 47. It is seen that these truths are not vain things that may be neglected; but that they are the very life itself of the soul; and by means of them holy states are acquired by the spiritual man, which will be useful to him in the next world, and when he passes from external to internal things.
