2 Sin autem eum, qui peccavit, dignum viderint plagis : prosternent, et coram se facient verberari. Pro mensura peccati erit et plagarum modus :

Verse 2. And if the thing thought about be determined to be evil or false, it shall be abased in the interiors of the mind by the truths and perceptions of good which are there, and kept down and punished according to its malignity as much as is required.
