14 Dixitque ad eum Eliseus : Vivit Dominus exercituum, in cujus conspectu sto, quod si non vultum Josaphat regis Judæ erubescerem, non attendissem quidem te, nec respexissem.

Verse 14. And the reason why he receives such help is, because he is outwardly in association with those in faith from charity; although, since Divine Truth is from Divine Good, in which alone is Divine Life, and also since Divine Truth is the expression of Divine Good, it is impossible that it can be in sympathy with and enlighten the corrupted man.
