7 auferam Israël de superficie terræ, quam dedi eis : et templum quod sanctificavi nomini meo, projiciam a conspectu meo, eritque Israël in proverbium, et in fabulam cunctis populis.

Verse 7. Then it will separate itself from the heavenly state, and can no longer be a receptacle of good and of truth before the Lord, becoming instead an external form of good and truth only, and therefore an object of contempt and derision:
