4 Why should the name of our father be diminished from the midst of his family, for he has◦ no son? Give to us a possession◦ in the midst of the brothers of our father.

Verse 4. And why, therefore, should this affection not have the quality of good from the Lord because it is without truths? For certainly it desires a possession of inheritance in the heavenly kingdom, where good is the ruling principle!
