25 The sword outside, and terror from the chambers, shall bereave both◦ the young·​·man and◦ the virgin, the nursing infant with the man◦ of gray·​·hairs.

Verse 25. Thus the false and the evil which are from hell will devastate both the natural and the rational man, and will destroy both the understanding of truth and the affection for it, and also innocence with wisdom.
