22 as◦ He did for the sons of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, when He blotted·​·out the Horite from before them; and they dispossessed them, and dwelt in· their ·stead, even·​·to this day;

Verse 22. As He did to the external affections of good which dwelt in the will part of the mind when He destroyed the persuasions of self-love from before them, and they succeeded them and dwelt in their stead even to the present condition of the soul.
