5 then thou shalt bring·​·out that◦ man◦ or that◦ woman, who has done this evil thing, to▵ thy gates, even the man◦ or the woman, and shalt stone◦ them with stones, and they shall die.

Verse 5. Then you shall pluck out those thoughts and affections from the interiors of the mind, the thoughts and affections that are contrary to the Divine Humanity of the Lord, and shall destroy them out of the soul by means of pure truths derived from the Word.
