13 And he brought·​·out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and clipped·​·off all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as◦ Jehovah had spoken.

Verse 13. And the love of dominion corrupts, falsifies, and profanes every truth derived from good, and every intellectual truth derived from the love of truth belonging to the church; and at the same time destroys every scientific appertaining to the celestial church in its spiritual degree, according to the testimony of the Word of the Lord.
