23 And all the remaining words concerning Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they◦ not written in the book of the words concerning the days of◦ the kings of Judah? Only for the time of his old·​·age he was·​·sick in his feet.

Verse 23. But all the states of the man of the celestial-spiritual church, internal and external, including also his doctrines, are reserved in his interior memory; and even when he is fully regenerated, evils remain in his natural man, or in his proprium, through which his heaven is neither absolutely pure, nor free from states of obscurity.
