7 さきにスリヤの王が彼らを滅ぼし、踏み砕くちりのようにしたのでエホアハズの軍勢で残ったものは、ただ騎兵五十人、戦車十両、歩兵一万人のみであった。

Verse 7. Wherefore the falsities of the merely natural man prevail, while the spiritual man has but little remains of intellectual power, of doctrine, or of natural truths, thus being reduced by the natural man to a state of desolation, and condemnation.
