8 神の人は王に言った、「たとい、あなたの家の半ばをくださっても、わたしはあなたと一緒にまいりません。またこの所では、パンも食べず水も飲みません。

Verse 8. But genuine truths cannot have any conjunction with self-love, for the sake of reward; they cannot be harmonious with it internally; neither can spiritual support which is from goodness and truth be acquired from a state of idolatrous worship.
