25 Εν δε τω εβδομω μηνι, Ισμαηλ ο υιος του Νεθανιου, υιου του Ελισαμα, εκ του βασιλικου σπερματος, ηλθεν, εχων μεθ' εαυτου δεκα ανδρας, και επαταξαν τον Γεδαλιαν, ωστε απεθανε, και τους Ιουδαιους και Χαλδαιους, τους οντας μετ' αυτου εν Μισπα.

Verse 25. But it happens, when the church is in a state of full vastation even as to faith, that the natural reason of man, which is the gift of the Lord, and through which the Lord enjoins obedience to truth which is the Word and should govern the mind, rejects the truths of the Word which have been falsified, or rejects truths combined with falsities in its state of watchfulness.
