5 Toen toog Rezin, de koning van Syrie, op, met Pekah, den zoon van Remalia, den koning van Israel, naar Jeruzalem ten strijde; en zij belegerden Achaz, maar zij vermochten niet met strijden.

Verse 5. And therefore he is opposed by the knowledges of good in his natural man, and by the truths of the church in his spiritual man; and thus truths both external and internal condemn him; but they are not able to convince him.
