26 But the woman whose child was alive, said to the king, (for her bowels were moved upon her child,) I beseech thee, my lord, give her the child alive, and do not kill it. But the other said: Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Verse 26. But those who are in charity, and in living faith from charity, are perceived to be in the sincere love of the truth, and in the desire to preserve it, and impart it to others; while those who are not, are willing to share with others in a dead faith.
