Verse 20. Wherefore the external man is obedient to the truth of the internal, and exercises his powers against the false doctrines of the corrupted spiritual church, subduing evil and falsity of the corporeal and sensual nature, the love of the world, and, in short, the falsities and evils of the whole resistance of the unregenerate natural life.
