16 In addition to the chiefs of the responsible men put by Solomon to oversee the work, three thousand and three hundred in authority over the workmen.

Verse 16. These powers being also in subordination to interior spiritual truths, of which there is a full supply, these being the intermediate between celestial good and natural good for the making perfect of the character.
